Canada Express Entry Visa: Apply For Canada Permanent Residency

Express Entry is an online system that we use to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. It accommodates foreigners who want to reside in Canada. Below are the things to know about the program.

 

Understanding how Express Entry works

Federal Skilled Trades Program

  • It is for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade
  • You must have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification

Federal Skilled Worker Program

  • Skilled workers with foreign work experience
  • You must meet education and other criteria.

 

Canadian Experience Class

  • for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience
  • work experience must have been gained in the 3 years before you apply

If you are eligible for one of the aforementioned programmes, you can also apply for the Provincial Nominee Programme through Express Entry. If you are nominated, you will receive bonus points to help you be invited to apply as soon as possible.

How to become eligible for Express Entry?

To be eligible for Express Entry, you have several options. One thing you could do is figure out what is currently ineligible.

You may be ineligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Programme (FSWP) because you do not meet one or more of the FSWP’s minimum work, language ability, or education requirements. Addressing the root cause of your ineligibility is the first step towards submitting an Express Entry profile.

Step 2: Get your Express Entry documents ready

If you are eligible for one or more Express Entry Programmes and submit your profile, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) will rank you in the Express Entry pool.

Step 3: Fill out your Express Entry profile

The purpose of your Express Entry profile is to provide us with information about yourself.

If you are eligible, we will accept you into our candidate pool and provide you with a CRS score.

Step 4: Get an invitation and apply

We send invitations to apply to the candidates with the highest scores in the pool. If we invite you to apply, you’ll have 60 days to submit your application. We’ll process most complete applications that have all supporting documents in 6 months or less.

Step 5: Check your score

How to Apply for Permanent Residence in Canada
